First Delivery Report

From first two group messages

We have now ten people that said they would drive for us.  But only a couple are active at all, others waiting for "Show me the Money", who could blame them.

I called a few restaurants about selling their menu for delivery, a couple of salons about having them network sales, Marc which we could not hire suggested Costco as a supplier, and  Safeway, Giant, Lidl, and Aldi  - either will not respond or can not be contacted. (see comments)

Created a list of "Producers from Lancaster to Washington - DC"  to see if we could source food directly. Carey said he could make a run to the markets in Jessup and distribute to our drivers.  Found out yesterday about PACA, and noticed there are impediments for small distributors getting into the food business.

Nonetheless, the next step is to apply to all these distributors and find other products that can be distributed to, churches, restaurants, and individuals. Products will be placed on our catalog, where we can all collaborate to find the best source and price,  by commenting on the products on the catalog, you can tell us what the current price at the store is  so we can compare. Right now we only have some prices from Aldi and Costco and of course these change and we would like to know when that occurs. We will be adding more products later today.

We buy in quantity, divide and distribute.  In theory we would have lower overhead than a grocery store, we have no rent to pay or cashiers to hire. By purchasing direct, our members would pre pay wholesale for pallets of products - our drivers could be paid pro-rate and well for each delivery - and we would have created the most efficient purchase-distribution network possible.

The importance of your network-

Food is the one thing everyone needs, what we are doing is delivering food at cost, and this fact should help all of you build your networks.  Who would not want to be friends with the pace the get their food.

Who would not want food at a better price and delivered for free?

Please remember you may make good money driving deliveries but we can also pay because we are selling to your network --- so advertise -- build your territory- pass out fliers, create "locations" and "contacts" they belong to you, along with a portion of the income that comes from sales to your locations and contacts.

The images below are the front and back of a business card where you can place your name on the dotted line and pass out. Once we have some sales we can have them printed properly with driver and sales peoples names. Any suggestions on the design of this card ?

The design of this platform was first as a CRM for business use. I though that with your van we now have the ability to sell items from Lancaster into the DC area . not just food products but local handy craft and antiques. We will soon need a bigger truck. This is the data we have ready to call to in the Lancaster area

We are creating our ordering interface, we now need to test it to see how it works. Its very simple - just text what you want to   202 567 7123 -example text " "bread milk butter lettuce olive oil "  we do the rest  or you can order online like Amazon.

We would want to be like a high end personal shopper and become our customers trusted assistant.
