“My dad’s focus was always the carpet side of the flooring business. I was here every summer working on carpet trucks, installing carpet all over middle Georgia. In the early 1980’s we saw the trend in flooring moving back to hardwood. My dad had some old machines that we reworked and I began learning from some of the older employees how to sand and refinish hardwood floors. I loved it and began moving our company away from carpet. I think it is so important to love what you do for a career.
