The building itself was built in Victorian-style in 1904 and it still emanates that theme today with Chandeliers throughout. With 2 floors to shop on, the boutique is truly an escape from the standard shopping scenario whether it is consignment or regular retail.

The Plum was established in 1967 when founder, Isaac Mishkin, made the bold move to expand his family's millinery business and transition into women's bridge fashion. Isaac combined his knowledge of buying and selling women's fashion to open “The Plum” in the heart of downtown Harrisburg, PA. Due to great success, he then opened the second Plum in Camp Hill, PA. Collectively, the stores have been dressing not only local patrons but, in addition, those who visit from out of town.

Rumors are swirling about the fate of Doneckers, with indications that some or all of its operations might be shutting their doors in the coming weeks.

Employees at Doneckers, an Ephrata institution since 1961, are anticipating an announcement shortly. Some say they expect to be laid off.
