Brendel's Manor Park was the site of the Farm Bureau Picnic for many years. Farm families and friends gathered annually to celebrate the harvest and to engage in contest of friendly rivalry. From Pomona Grange, Farm Bureau, and individuals who had been involved with Landowners and Farmers Field Day at Howard County Hunt Club, the idea of making the picnic into a full-fledged County Fair developed.

We operate a small unique orchard/nursery. You can taste the fruit before you buy the fruit tree of your choice. We grow Asian pears, persimmons, white peaches, guavas, all kind of citrus (Thai limes, Meyer lemons, Kumquats, Calamondin sour oranges, Buddha’s hand, Key limes, etc.) figs, jujubes, Super fruits (Goji berries, Aronias, Pomegranates, Lemons, Figs, etc.) We will show you how to grow citrus and tropical fruits organically without a heated greenhouse. Before you know it, you, too, can pick your organically grown tropical or citrus fruit from your own tree. YES, HERE IN MARYLAND.

Through our Community Supported Agriculture (or CSA) program we offer high quality fresh vegetables grown with organic methods. We deliver an educational, fun filled family experience with quality and consistency.
