Asked why the firm is dissolving, Nicholas said some of its lawyers with complex practices saw greater opportunity in becoming a larger firm, while others did not. “Strategically it’s my personal view that Rhoads & Sinon would have done well as an entire enterprise in joining forces with a larger firm long ago. I don’t think there’s some people that shared that vision,” he said. Barley Snyder will be taking over Rhoads & Sinon’s space in the M&T Bank Building in downtown Harrisburg. For the 19 lawyers and staff joining Barley Snyder, the transition will be “seamless,” Nicholas said.
