Tesla solar plant

Tesla’s solar business was hyped up with its Solar Roof Tile product in advance of the acquisition with SolarCity, but it was put on the back burner to allow the company to focus on building and delivering the Model 3 since it was the key driver of profitability. Now that the chaos of the year-long Model 3 launch has stabilized, the company is starting to oil the gears on its solar products. Tesla is preparing to follow a similar ramp up of sales that the company saw in its automotive business.
