Provenance- Nodes- and Fields

Provenance: is a record of ownership of a work of art or an antique, used as a guide to authenticity or quality.

Here is an interesting nature of this software...

It is built upon the most advanced open source relational database  My SQL , and that means absolutely nothing to most people.

Simply put, a relational database always keeps a record of the relationships that you choose for that piece of data. Pieces of data are called Nodes, and they are the intersection of at least two fields,  like a "user" and  a "Item for sale".

Of course nodes can have many more than just two fields. For example our "Items for sale"  have, an "Author" that created the node, Price, Date Created, Date Updated, and more...

On our system (Drupal), you can add as many fields as you like!

This is how Provenance, and the node fields can add a whole new dimension to sales for you.

When you sell something, you can simply ask the new buyer if they wish to keep the item for sale. They can increase the price and you might sell it for them again!

Or maybe its something like an automobile or bike, where the price would go down, but if they can sell it, they may wish to buy a new upgrade. In this case, you can sell it again and you have sold a new product.

In addition the item stays on our site, we can hide it if they wish and not post for sale at all. The client gets an inventory of what he has, which is great for insurance.

No one wants stranges coming to their house, looking at valuables to buy. But, you have a store front you want strangers coming in looking for valuables to buy!

You client can also place other things he has around the house for sale, now you have other things you can sell for him.

Items can be sold over and over again. Now everyone has a record - Provenance, - that is authenticated by us and the previous owners!
